Gads. Another project on the waiting for grandma to do list. Just love her. She is done by Sherry Goshon. Jeff introduced her things to me and now I'm in trouble. Sherry does molds for faces and patterns for the clothes. What Fun.

Another card for 2010 Christmas. It has been so long sense doing my rubber stamping I near forgot how to do it. Had to go on a major safari to find things to work with and couldn't find several. Now that I am started it is fun and I hope to do several more and get them done before 2011. LOL My little singing birds have always been one of my favorites. Cut out work makes it take a little longer but worth the extra to make it cute.

Being an old duck with many little ducks , Seven of my owen and added from extended relationships I have had many Thanksgivings. This one at my old age of 79 has been one of the best I ever had. WHY? well, it is because it was a gathering of my family, some that had been lost for many years due to the normal mixed family problems that a lot of us know. Some couldn't be there due to distance of states where we live. That was fixed with a magic telephone call of one of my favorite daughters from the extended family. I couldn't love her more it she were from one of my own births. Love you SO much Betty. You will always have a special place in my heart.
After we all had a grand Thanksgiving dinner some of us ventured out to see the Black Friday sales. Ended up in a thrift show and Demetris spotted a beautiful picture of an owl. I have a front room with my mom's art of Indian work and we decided it would be perfect to add to my Indian pictures done by my mother. After looking up the author Demetris discovered it is a collector item. It was done by Dennis Curry and is of an owl. One of many wildlife pictures. I cleaned it very carefully and hung it on my Indian wall this morning. Demetris, this will be yours again someday when I decide it is time for the long rest. Your name is on the back for you to be the owner again someday. Thanks for this wonderful memory. I Love you. And Thanks to my baby son for making this happy gathering possible at your home. Love you and all the rest of my big family. Thanks for the best Thanksgiving ever.

Rescued Kitten....Miss Priss

This is another of the rescued kittens. She was named Princes in the beginning but her personality made me change that. She is now Miss Priss. A very pressy little girl that has to investagate everything. Here she is watching the fish. Wondering if they would make a good lunch. For some reason that is the best water to drink in the world. LOL

Newest Gourd and card to match.  If anything sells at the show I will be able to add this to the things already there.  We can keep 10 showing so if any sell more can be added.  I went to check out how they were going to present things for the show but nothing had been started.  Seems to be a bit unorginized.  I offered to go help if they needed someone extra for putting things out.

Gads, when the wheels get going I don't know how to stop. The outside trim was harder than any of the rest to get JUST RIGHT. So much fun to find things to work with that have been hid for eons. It's like Xmas way ahead of time.

This shot of the Redding Art Show Projects is just for my records to help me remember what I took. This is my first public showing so I am very nervous. No time now to set up a good background for a good picture but it will do for this time as a memory.

WOW, I forgot how much fun it is to see a project come to a final point. I had started this a LONG time ago but never could think of anything to make it feel finished. I added a leather trim on the top and then braded the light colored straw to run underneath the leather. Now I feel it is finished.

A couple of years ago I had started this when the group was playing with fish things. Due to some not planned things coming into my life it was put on the side after getting cut and an idea in my head to finish it. It has been sitting on a table on my porch every sense. It has made my day to be able to finish and get the final picture. Not only does it prove to myself but to my friends that when a plan is made I don't give up or loose the thoughts no matter how much time passes. I now have one less thing cluttering my poor old over crowded brain. LOL

This is the first stamping I have done for several years. Due to a good friend having a heartattack I wanted to make a special card for her. The center paper is hand made. The top Hummingbird is stamped on shrink art paper and heated to make tiny. Fringe made with a length of veriety colors topped with a pink rose bud.
Due to her moving away a few months back I am hoping to get the group we used to go to lunch with to sign in their own words with a special get well greeting. This should let her know we all miss her and wish her a speedy recovery.

Bedtime Brain Storm

Yep, I have been making clay grape clusters with clay but having a hard time trying to come up with a design to use them. Doing both egg and gourd arts I sometimes struggle as to which one I want to work on. Last night I woke up about 2 am from sound sleep to hear a voice saying use both arts together. I have a beautiful Black Swan that was in memory of my real swan lost years ago. I still have the egg swan but never finished it. I have decided to put it with a gourd as a combined subject. Yeaaaa Now all I have to do is DO IT!!
